Dementia Care

Next Workshop: April 14, 2025 – May 5, 2025

Empowering Caregivers

If life has thrown yet another curveball, and you find yourself a dementia caregiver, there is kind and supportive help.

This workshop has four distinct sessions with each providing knowledge and guidance in a journey many are unprepared for. Each session is designed to equip the caregiver with practical knowledge, strategies, and tools to provide compassionate, effective care for those living with dementia.

Gentle and Reassuring

Beginning with a basic understanding of the physical effects of dementia, the series is divided into distinct areas of care, including managing challenging behaviors, communication techniques, and creating a supportive environment for all involved.
Our goal is to provide you with insights, tips, and knowledge that not only improve the quality of care but also take care of YOU… the caregiver.

What to Expect

Week 1

Learn the basic and physiological aspects of dementia. Understanding the physical happenings to our loved ones gives us appreciation and respect for their situation.

Week 2

Take care of him/her to your best ability. Learn typical behaviors and how to manage challenging questions and demands. Gina will help you figure out the responses which will resonate with your loved one. Individuality is key.. No one size fits all!

Week 3

Lets take care of you. You can’t give when there is nothing left to give. As the airlines say- “put your mask on first”.

Week 4

We will bring it all together and dive further into a greater understanding. There is so much to share and learn, our final session will be a very open forum for discussion and questions and answers.

Expect Wonderful Things

We understand that dementia can be a challenging journey, but with the right knowledge and support, we can make a real difference in the lives of those impacted.
